- Pace
- Moderate
Float over the temples and sugar-cane fields at sunrise, then explore the West Bank with your guide while the day is still cool.
- A 45-minute balloon flight at sunrise
- Aerial views of Hatshepsut’s temple and the Theban hills
- The Valley of the Kings straight after landing
- Medinet Habu, the best-preserved colours on the West Bank
Hot-air balloons lift off from the West Bank before dawn and drift over the Theban hills, the temples of Hatshepsut and Ramesses III, and the green strip of the Nile. I only work with licensed operators with a strong safety record, and we go straight from landing to the monuments.
How I run this tour
- It is private: just you, your companions, me and a driver.
- The timings are a plan, not a schedule — we slow down wherever you want to.
- Questions are the point. Nothing is too basic or too nerdy.
“The stones are 4,500 years old. The stories should still feel alive.”

“Excellent content and very well organised. Traffic on the way back was heavy, which no one can control, but the tour itself was superb.”
“We have done guided tours all over the world and this was the best. Perfectly timed to avoid the crowds — at one point we had a tomb completely to ourselves.”
“Travelling with two kids (8 and 11), I was worried about long days. Karim turned it into a treasure hunt and they still talk about the “king’s secret boat”.”
