Ramesses II in the atrium, the Grand Staircase and the complete Tutankhamun treasure — four focused hours in the world’s largest archaeological museum.
- The 11-metre statue of Ramesses II in the Grand Atrium
- The Grand Staircase of kings and gods
- The complete Tutankhamun galleries, including the gold mask
- Khufu’s 4,500-year-old cedar boat
- Skip-the-line timed entry
The Grand Egyptian Museum is enormous, and without a plan most people end up exhausted in the first gallery. I take you through it as a story: kingship on the Grand Staircase, daily life in the main galleries, and then the complete Tutankhamun collection — more than 5,000 objects shown together for the first time.
We book timed tickets in advance, so there is no waiting at the door.
How I run this tour
- It is private: just you, your companions, me and a driver.
- The timings are a plan, not a schedule — we slow down wherever you want to.
- Questions are the point. Nothing is too basic or too nerdy.
“The stones are 4,500 years old. The stories should still feel alive.”

“Travelling with two kids (8 and 11), I was worried about long days. Karim turned it into a treasure hunt and they still talk about the “king’s secret boat”.”
“Honest, funny and incredibly knowledgeable. He told us which add-on tickets were worth it and which weren’t, and never once took us to a shop we didn’t ask for.”
