- Camp among the White Desert’s chalk formations
- Bedouin dinner around the fire
- Sunrise over the desert
- Hot spring in Bahariya
Five hours west of Cairo, the desert turns white. We drive to the Bahariya oasis, switch to a 4×4 with a Bedouin driver, cross the Black Desert and Crystal Mountain, and camp for the night among wind-carved chalk formations. Expect silence, stars and a lot of photographs.
How I run this tour
- It is private: just you, your companions, me and a driver.
- The timings are a plan, not a schedule — we slow down wherever you want to.
- Questions are the point. Nothing is too basic or too nerdy.
“The stones are 4,500 years old. The stories should still feel alive.”

“Excellent content and very well organised. Traffic on the way back was heavy, which no one can control, but the tour itself was superb.”

“Karim made the whole day feel like a conversation, not a lecture. He read the hieroglyphs on the walls for us and somehow knew exactly when we needed a coffee break.”
