Cairo after dark: street food & Khan el-Khalili
- Duration

Eight tastings, one bazaar and a lantern-lit walk down al-Muizz Street — the evening Cairo saves for those who know where to look.
- Eight tastings from family-run stalls
- Koshari, feteer and Egyptian sweets
- Khan el-Khalili with honest prices
- Al-Muizz Street lit up at night
- Tea at El Fishawy coffee house
Cairo comes alive after sunset. We eat our way through the old city: ful and taameya from a cart that has fed the same street for sixty years, koshari, hawawshi, feteer from a wood oven, and roz bel laban for dessert. Between bites, the bazaar — with fair prices and no pressure.
Small groups of up to eight, or book it privately.
How I run this tour
- It is private: just you, your companions, me and a driver.
- The timings are a plan, not a schedule — we slow down wherever you want to.
- Questions are the point. Nothing is too basic or too nerdy.
“The stones are 4,500 years old. The stories should still feel alive.”

“Honest, funny and incredibly knowledgeable. He told us which add-on tickets were worth it and which weren’t, and never once took us to a shop we didn’t ask for.”
“Excellent content and very well organised. Traffic on the way back was heavy, which no one can control, but the tour itself was superb.”
“Travelling with two kids (8 and 11), I was worried about long days. Karim turned it into a treasure hunt and they still talk about the “king’s secret boat”.”
